Comiso and Catania airports within short distance
Giardino di Greta e Sofia is located at Contrada Gerardo 6, in Chiaramonte Gulfi (RG), in the heart of the Sicilian countryside on the Iblei Mountains. The location is ideal: far from the chaos but perfectly connected with the airports and the main attractions of south-eastern Sicily.
We strongly recommend car rental: it is the best way to enjoy the freedom of exploring the territory, reaching the beaches and visiting the baroque cities at your own pace. The roads of the province of Ragusa are scenic and have little traffic.

Choose the most convenient means of transport for you
By plane — Comiso Airport
The Comiso "Pio La Torre" Airport (CIY) is the nearest airport and the ideal choice. It is just 30 minutes by car from Chiaramonte Gulfi.
From the airport, take the SS514 state road and continue on the SP52 provincial road towards Ragusa/Chiaramonte Gulfi. The route is simple and well signposted.
Comiso Airport is served by national and international low-cost flights, with direct connections to major European cities.
By plane — Catania Airport
The Catania-Fontanarossa "Vincenzo Bellini" Airport (CTA) is the main airport of eastern Sicily, with a wide choice of national and international flights. It is about 1 hour and 30 minutes by car from Chiaramonte Gulfi.
From the airport, take the E45 motorway towards Siracusa, then continue on the SS514 towards Ragusa and Chiaramonte Gulfi. Car rental is available directly at the airport with the main operators.
Alternatively, you can take a bus towards Ragusa from the square in front of the arrivals terminal and get off at the "Coffa" stop, at the foot of Chiaramonte Gulfi.
By car
Chiaramonte Gulfi is easily reachable by car from all directions:
- From Catania/Siracusa: E45 motorway to Ragusa, then SS514 and SP7 to Chiaramonte Gulfi
- From Palermo: A19 motorway to Enna, then SS117bis and SS514 towards Ragusa/Chiaramonte Gulfi
- From Agrigento: SS115 along the coast to Ragusa, then SP7 to Chiaramonte Gulfi
If you arrive by ferry from Genoa, Naples or Salerno, you can disembark in Palermo or Catania and continue by car.
